Arguably one of the most famous battles in British history, in 1645 the fields surrounding the sleepy village of Naseby in Northamptonshire saw Parliament’s New Model Army decisively defeat the forces of King Charles, signalling the beginning of the end of the Royalist cause in the first Civil War.
Organised by the London Brigade of the Army of Parliament, the Sealed Knot returns to Naseby to bring this pivotal moment in history to life, with a skirmish and a tented encampment showing life as it was lived in the 17th Century.
The gates at Naseby Village Hall open at noon, with battle at 2pm.
There is free admission but donations are welcome, with 300 car parking spaces at £5 per car available.
