Don’t forget – this weekend we’re bringing the sights and sounds of the English Civil War to Debdale Park in Gorton, Manchester.
This Sunday (24th July), the Earl of Manchester’s Regiment will set up camp at the Gorton Festival. Our living history camp will be open from 11.30am to 4.30pm. Meet the soldiers, see how they lived, watch demonstrations of military drill and authentic cooking – then follow the action as Royalist prisoners attempt to escape from the Roundheads!
Our display will be part of the annual Gorton Festival, which takes place from 12pm – 4pm and will also include bowling competitions, a dog-show, music, sports, BMX displays and stalls run by local community groups.
