This year, the excitement about the beginning of the new season has been tempered by some sad news.
Last month, we were all very saddened to hear about the passing our beloved regimental mascot, Monty the Dog.
Monty was not only an ‘authentic’ breed, but led the regiment on parade and into battle on numerous occasions. A real character and as much a part of the regiment as any human member, he will be much missed by everyone and our thoughts go to David, Claire and the rest of the family. He will be remembered.
