Dive into history with this Easter weekend event! 

Organised by Sir William Waller’s Brigade of The Sealed Knot reenactment society, this first event of the 2022 season will see Cavaliers and Roundheads do battle over two days in a spectacular reenactment weekend at West Woodland Showground, near Frome.

Within easy distance of Bristol, Bath, Devizes and Cheltenham, and with Longleat House, Nunney Castle, Farleigh Castle and Old Wardour Castle close by, this promises to be a great way to spend a historical Easter holiday!

With cannon, musket, pike and drums bringing Somerset’s English Civil War history alive, the Sealed Knot will be being joined by members of the Southern Skirmish Association, who reenact the American Civil War with a display each day.

The historical encampment is opens from 11am to 4.30pm each day, with a skirmish at 11.45am, a display by American Civil War reenactors at 12.45pm, and the main English Civil War battle at 2pm.
